Summary

Josh, a retired U.S. Army infantry veteran, experienced parental divorce and child abuse as a young boy, quickly entering drugs and alcohol in his teenage years, dropping out of school, and joining the Army at 17 in 2003. After marriage, kids, divorce, and military retirement, he worked for a large corporation but retreated back into drugs and alcohol until getting sober and starting a spiritual journey that still felt incomplete. Receiving a scholarship from Sacred Heart Healing Center to Dr. Joe's Cancun retreat, he learned about energy centers and began activating his lower centers, feeling all the emotions from war and his past not from regret but from gratitude and worthiness - suddenly feeling that energy go to his heart and crack it wide open. He decided to stop telling his stories about child abuse, war, alcoholism, and drug addiction to get outward validation, realizing "this is not who I am - I'm a loving courageous guy with a massive heart, a co-creator who is free," now viewing his past like a scar that doesn't hurt anymore and doesn't need to be talked about.
