She Walked for the First Time in Months – Into Her New Future

Summary

Woman diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in May 2021 (recurrence from 2004 when she had foregone chemotherapy and hormone treatment), got double pneumonia in 2023 requiring 28 days hospitalized on oxygen and IV, leading to total body collapse with muscle atrophy, 30-pound weight loss, inability to eat, kidney shutdown, and needing walker, visiting nurse, PT, and OT, with lungs repeatedly filling with fluid requiring draining in August and 4 days before Aruba event in September. Came to Aruba with walker and oxygen, unable to walk or sit up due to atrophied back muscles, supposed to use wheelchair; during first walking meditation on sand, amazing energy came over her, she got up and walked pushing her walker through entire meditation despite breathing issues, and discovered her back muscles were working again - she pulled shoulders back when Dr. Joe said "walk as the future you." After first healing she could eat a full meal without pain for first time; drove her car for first time in months, walked 500 feet on beach daily with cane doing walking meditations; 2 weeks later pulmonologist found minimal lung fluid, cancelled tube placement, rescheduled 3 months out; now lives every day in gratitude, waking up so happy to be alive as a new person with a new body.
