Summary

Chiropractor, former city councilman and mayor, retired seven years ago, became complacent. On February 4th underwent angiogram for rare spinal cord AVM after 8 months symptomatic, went home, 45 minutes later completely paralyzed from belly button down. Two days later had double laminectomy to diffuse fistula on T11-T12 thoracic spinal cord, neurosurgeon gave 50/50 chance to walk within first year. At nine-month retreat, first meditations difficult, third meditation fought through severe back pain and burning in both flanks. Later meditation experienced popping, dove off ledge, rode eagle through mist into quantum field, ball of energy exploded in abdomen, broke into complete perspiration. Walking meditation saw angelic being saying "keep going, almost there." Pain completely eliminated (was level 8, requiring two painkillers three times daily plus oxycodone), gained ability to move quad muscle.
