Walking and Talking in Just One Week

Summary

After traveling to Japan in 2012 to help Fukushima people, this person had brain surgery in 2018 for cancer, spending 10 days in a coma and 4 months unable to talk, walk, eat, speak, or communicate. Feeling like the last 5 years of life were lost after exhausting all Western medicine could offer, arriving at the retreat barely able to walk or talk, selected as a healer despite limitations, experienced rapid transformation where on day one abilities started returning, on day two felt deep healing, and by the end was walking, turning around, speaking clearly, and able to burn their own shirt in the fire ceremony (previously needed roommate's help). Using the metaphor that the last 5 years were on pause, through this retreat experience pressed play to restart life, demonstrating visible dramatic improvement in mobility, speech, and overall function.
