Summary

Theodor had abdominal pain and sleep difficulties, and after a CT scan was diagnosed with a 19-20 centimeter kidney tumor (kidney cancer) with metastases throughout his body including five-centimeter lung nodules, pancreas, and gut. Doctors prepared him for worst-case scenario with chemo and radiation, and he was hospitalized for about a month. During hospitalization, both his wife and brother-in-law independently gave him the same red Becoming Supernatural book on the same day, which he took as a sign he had to read it. He told doctors he didn't want radiotherapy or conventional treatments; they put him on immunotherapy which unfortunately didn't work and caused his liver enzymes and bilirubin to go sky-high, making him sicker. After discharge, he went to Dr. Joe's website, bought the Formula course, Intensive course, and most meditations, and started daily practice. Some days were difficult and he didn't want to meditate, but he did it anyway, learning meditation meant being aware of thoughts and coming back (not stopping thoughts entirely). For 15 months, he did the work every single day without missing once, realizing "my mind is like a garden" where thoughts are seeds he plants. After 15 months of daily meditation, he had another CT scan and the doctor said "I don't know what you've done but there's nothing in your lung, your CT is clean, nothing in your guts," and the kidney cancer shrank from 19 centimeters to five centimeters with nothing large enough to biopsy.
