Summary

Laura, who suffered severe hearing loss and tinnitus from a traumatic brain injury three years prior, attended the Marco Island Week Long Advanced Retreat in January 2022 seeking mystical experiences. During a walking meditation in the rain, while lying in the sand, she had a powerful mystical encounter where she perceived a woman in a black cape sitting beside her with her eyes closed, experienced full body shaking, and witnessed a vision of Mother Teresa in blue and white habit holding her hand. After the meditation ended, she realized her hearing aids were not in and her hearing had been completely restored through this transcendental experience.
