Summary

She came to the Denver event in July to see if Dr. Joe's work was "for real," and three days in noticed her back wasn't bothering her, then saw people getting out of wheelchairs and her back completely stopped hurting—she stopped wearing the back brace she'd brought, could sit up straight with no discomfort on the airplane home. She got the idea to buy a bunch of his CDs and invite friends to meditate with her using an app on her phone, and three weeks into meditating with her friend in Argentina, the friend revealed she had cysts and stuff on her uterus with doctors planning to remove part of her organs in February—she refused the surgery, and 2-3 weeks into the meditations the friend had a doctor's visit where the cysts were shrinking. Another friend Iliana had a heart transplant and went into the ICU with a bowel obstruction—she got the ICU nurse to let her hook up to Iliana's phone and they did Tuning Into Health meditation together remotely (she in her living room, Iliana in the ICU). During the meditation she started to get sick, stepped out thinking she'd throw up (nothing happened), went back in, and when the meditation ended Iliana started throwing up. The following morning Iliana was scheduled for bowel obstruction surgery but when doctors went in there was no bowel obstruction. At the Portland follow-up retreat, she had an out-of-body-like experience feeling here but not here, awake but asleep, so relaxed she wasn't sure if drunk or just in a high level of relaxation she'd never experienced—for the first time she felt her body was capable of not just healing but moving forward. Iliana, who hadn't been able to talk or complete sentences for two weeks in the ICU, called her at 1 AM two nights ago yelling, screaming, sad, upset, but making complete sentences and vocalizing loudly, with doctors having no idea why she was getting better, and she attributes it all to the meditations they did together remotely.
